Project Executive / Senior Project Engineer – Heavy Civil
Join our dynamic team as a Project Executive or Senior Project Engineer, leading high-profile heavy civil construction projects across Durham, NC. This leadership role involves overseeing multi-million-dollar industrial and commercial concrete projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams to successfully deliver $500K-$50M heavy civil construction projects.
- Develop and implement innovative construction strategies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring accurate financial tracking and cost control.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to define project scopes and expectations.
- Ensure safety compliance, regulatory adherence, and industry best practices throughout project phases.
- Oversee grading, drainage, paving, and concrete placement, maximizing operational efficiency.
- Review submitting, RFIs, change orders, and shop drawings to mitigate risks and streamline execution.
- Mentor and develop junior staff while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Actively engage in client communications, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
About You:

- 5 years of experience managing heavy civil or commercial/industrial concrete projects.

- Proficient in Primavera, Procore, MS Project, and other construction management tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction as a Project Manager/Senior Engineer.
- Expertise in budget tracking, cost control, and change order management.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations (OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred).
- CPR certification required.

Salary : $115,000 - $125,000
