Top Gun Staffing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Construction Superintendent for a large-scale, complex, and high-stakes heavy industrial project. This role requires a seasoned professional with in-depth expertise in overseeing concrete construction on mission-critical sites, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Project Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of large-scale heavy industrial projects, ensuring construction processes are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with strict timelines and budgets. Manage all aspects of concrete construction, from earthwork and formwork to finishing.
Safety Management & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, maintaining full compliance with OSHA regulations and all relevant safety standards. Champion a zero-incident safety culture and conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead, direct, and mentor a large, diverse crew of workers and subcontractors. Ensure proper task delegation and facilitate communication between teams, project managers, and upper management to guarantee smooth project execution.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct detailed risk assessments and identify potential safety or operational hazards. Take proactive steps to mitigate risk and prevent any safety issues before they arise.
Quality Control: Monitor and inspect concrete work to ensure it meets the highest quality standards and complies with contract specifications. Ensure construction methods are efficient and cost-effective without sacrificing quality or safety.
Problem Solving & Decision Making: Take the lead in resolving issues on-site, from technical challenges to personnel conflicts, making on-the-spot decisions to keep the project on track.
Schedule & Budget Management: Manage construction timelines and budgets, coordinating with project managers to ensure milestones are met and that the project stays within scope and financial parameters.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records for safety audits, project progress, and work completed. Provide regular updates to senior management regarding the status of the project, highlighting any concerns or adjustments that need to be made.
Required Qualifications:
Heavy Industrial Construction Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, specifically within large-scale, heavy-duty industrial projects such as power plants, factories, infrastructure, or other mission-critical construction sites.
Concrete Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience in all aspects of concrete construction, including foundation work, forming, and finishing.
OSHA Certification: OSHA 30 certification is a must. Additional safety certifications or training (First Aid, CPR, etc.) is preferred.
Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead large, multi-disciplinary teams, from laborers to skilled trades and subcontractors. Demonstrated success in managing teams to complete projects on time and within budget.
Risk Management: Experience in performing detailed safety audits, risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions on complex job sites.
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure in a fast-paced, high-risk environment.
Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel to remote job sites, potentially requiring extended stays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Heavy Equipment Management: Familiarity with managing heavy equipment on job sites, including cranes, bulldozers, excavators, and concrete pumps.
Project Management Tools: Experience with construction management software, project tracking tools, and scheduling software.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
