Job Title : Plant Manager – Plastic Molding
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our plastic molding facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastic manufacturing, a deep understanding of molding processes, and leadership experience in managing production teams. As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing plant performance, ensuring product quality, maintaining safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the plastic molding plant, ensuring production targets are met with high quality and efficiency.
- Manage a team of supervisors, operators, and support staff, providing leadership, coaching, and development.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as necessary to meet customer demands and timelines.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
- Maintain and improve plant performance by analyzing production metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor product quality standards and ensure that all products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Manage plant budgets, inventory, and resources to optimize costs while meeting production goals.
- Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance, engineering, and quality assurance to support plant operations and address issues.
- Lead efforts in equipment and process upgrades, ensuring the plant is utilizing the latest technologies and methods in plastic molding.
- Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance, production metrics, and operational challenges to senior management.
- Ensure proper training and development programs are in place for employees to enhance skills and support operational goals.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other efficiency initiatives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues promptly.
