What are the responsibilities and job description for the Box Office Attendant position at Top Hat Catering?
As part of a customer-facing team, you will be expected to provide friendly and helpful service on behalf of the company. This position will act as a support role to the Box Office Manager and will occasionally be responsible for other duties, as assigned.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure a thorough knowledge of events at Logjam Presents venues and the organization as a whole, in order to provide the best customer service
- Operate the telephone during business hours and direct callers to the appropriate destination
- Utilize the Etix and Ticketmaster platforms to perform in-person ticket sales out of the Logjam Presents box office, including selling and processing gift cards
- Support the administrative needs of the Box Office Manager and other departments, within reason
- Take responsibility for all cash and credit card transactions processed while on-shift as well as opening/closing the box office as required, ensuring that the security of the box office is always maintained
- Effectively and professionally deal with customer service issues while elevating relevant challenges to the Box Office Manager, where necessary
- Protect the use of the Logjam Presents brand in all forms of communication, internally and externally
REQUIREMENTS
- Passion about music, live performance, and the arts as a whole
- Willingness to work flexibly, including increased hours of availability during the amphitheater season
- Proven experience in a customer service environment, including confidence on the phone
- Ability to work independently and also contribute to a team environment
- Comfortability working with technology and the willingness to train on new platforms, including Etix & Ticketmaster
- Experience with cash handling procedures
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure utilizing solid time management skills
- Preference for candidates who are familiar with online ticketing processes and inventory management

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
