What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekly Trivia Host for Top Hat Trivia position at Top Hat Trivia, LLC?
We are looking for DEPENDABLE people who can host every MONDAY or WEDNESDAY NIGHT and are willing to get started RIGHT AWAY. We will schedule your training for next week and hope to have you hosting in two weeks.
Hosting trivia is a super fun side gig that pays you to hang out in local bars with good food and great people! We have locations across Chicagoland and have a starting pay of $60 per show, with the opportunity to move up and gain referrals.
OVERVIEW:
Top Hat Trivia exists to bring people together—and our live trivia host is at the center of this. Whether you were the class clown, nerd, or president, we want you to take the mic.
YOUR ROLE:
- Spend 10 minutes of prep time a week, reviewing a game and curating a playlist.
- Show up 30 minutes early before the approximately two hour long game.
- Run the game for the restaurant following our game outline; give out the questions, answers, and playing songs.
- Interact with the different teams creating a sense of healthy competition.
- Troubleshoot problems
- Enforce gameplay rules for players.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Commit to hosting at least one weeknight game a week.
- Own a device that can connect to the internet (laptop or tablet preferred).
- Have access to reliable transportation each week
EXPERIENCE:
- No prior education or experience needed.
- We’ll train you how to run our game.
- A knowledge of a bunch of useless facts is a plus :)
