You will join our team as an integral part of the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial dock systems and door equipment. Our new Commercial Dock and Door Technician will be able to work independently or on a team, while providing high-quality customer service. You should be well versed in various types of dock equipment, including levelers, shelters, and doors, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
· Assemble mechanical components or machine parts
· Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance
· Order replacement springs, sections, or slats
· Repair or replace worn or broken door parts using hand tools
· Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair
· Remove parts or components from equipment
· Install hardware or other interior fixtures
· Fabricate parts or components
· Run wiring to connect equipment
· Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning
· Test mechanical equipment to ensure its functioning properly
· Document time and operational activities
· Follow manufacturer directions and warranty requirements when installing products
· Complies with Company’s attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance
· Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum Experience: 2-3 years in a progressive role as a commercial dock and door technician.
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout assigned territory required.
· Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 100 lbs) and operate equipment safely.
· Ability to weld, torch & grind, handle low voltage electrical work (483 3 phase), troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues.

To perform this job successfully, the employee is frequently required to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like; move in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, that may include tight and confined spaces; remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods; moving about to accomplish tasks including moving from one worksite to another; adjusting or moving objects up to 100 pounds in all directions; communicating with others to exchange information; repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and / or fingers; operating machinery and / or power tools; operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment; assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned. This position includes heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.
