Job Summary Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machinery.
- Material handling, equipment maintenance and shipping / receiving duties.
- Grinding, filing, and cleaning of parts.
- Preparation of assemblies for shipping.
- Operates according to Company Standard Operating Procedures.
- Use personal computer utilizing various programs for document development, editing and communication.
- Operates office equipment including fax machine, telephone, copier and postage meter.
- Operates a forklift.
- Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
- Keep work area safe and free from hazards.

- Ability to read documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with supervisor and co-workers.
- Ability to operate a band saw.
- Ability to operate CNC lathes.
- Ability to operate proprietary and traditional laser cutting equipment.
- Able to operate a forklift.
- Must possess the ability to operate hand tools and powered hand tools.
- Knowledge of general computer programs including Microsoft Office products, e-mail and the Internet.
- Operate office equipment including fax machine, telephone, copier and postage meter.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to calculate with the use of fractions and / or decimal system.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Formal training in machine operation or programming is a definite asset.
