Job SummaryOperates hand and machine tools, including welding and cutting equipment, in order to construct clad assemblies. Works at a table on shop floor. Operator Trainees work under direct supervision. - Follow all safety, environmental, quality and 5S rules, regulations and requirements.
- Read and implement set-up sheets for clad assemblies.
- Perform tasks such as metal cleaning, taping, drilling, sawing and hand grinding to assist other assembly technicians in construction of clad assemblies.
- Inspect all equipment before use and perform operator maintenance when needed. Report any unsafe equipment conditions to Area Lead & Area Manager.
- Monitor and ensure safe work habits and tool use in assigned areas.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to stand / walk at a workstation for an extended period of time.
- Ability to use hands with continuous repetitive motion while picking up / gathering materials up to 50lbs.
