Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor and a welcoming smile.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure timely seating of guests according to their preferences.
- Answer phone calls promptly, providing information about the restaurant, taking reservations, and addressing guest inquiries.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Provide guests with menus and inform them of daily specials or promotions.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
- Support the restaurant team during busy periods by helping with various tasks as needed.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent hospitality skills, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred but not required.
- Effective phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries professionally.
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
