Position: Lead Audiovisual Installer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Lead Audiovisual Installer. The Lead AV Technician is responsible for overseeing the installation, integration, and maintenance of AV systems in commercial, residential, or corporate settings. This role requires advanced technical knowledge of audiovisual systems, leadership skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex AV setups. The Lead Installer works closely with project managers and clients to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality installations while mentoring and guiding junior AV technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the installation and configuration of AV systems, including audio, video, control systems, and networking components for commercial and residential projects.
- Supervise and mentor a team of audiovisual installers, ensuring tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards for AV installations.
- Collaborate with project managers to understand client needs and AV project specifications, ensuring all audiovisual systems meet client expectations.
- Conduct site surveys, assess AV system requirements, and provide technical input to AV project plans to ensure accurate installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation and post-installation of audiovisual systems and AV equipment.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies throughout AV installations and service.
- Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, AV installations, and client communication related to audiovisual systems.
- Stay updated with the latest AV technologies and installation techniques, ensuring systems are installed with the latest AV equipment and network integration.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role in audiovisual installation.
- Proven experience in audiovisual system installation and integration, including troubleshooting and providing post-installation support.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor junior AV technicians on AV systems and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of AV equipment, wiring, and network integration for both audio and video systems.
- Familiarity with control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX) and AV-over-IP solutions for audio-visual installations.
- Proficiency with commercial AV hardware from top brands, including Crestron, Extron, Shure, Barco, Biamp, Panasonic, and LG Commercial Displays.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in client-facing roles for audiovisual system installations.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and handle complex AV system installations.
- Certifications in AV technologies (e.g., AVIXA, CEDIA) preferred for audiovisual system installation.
