As a Manufacturing Operations Manager at Top Quality Recruitment (TQR), you will oversee the effective operation of our facilities, ensuring maximum production efficiency and productivity. Your responsibilities will include supervising personnel, driving continuous improvement through maintenance programs, managing departmental purchases, and maintaining plant support systems.
Key Activities:
- Daily supervision of personnel with responsibilities including staffing, performance management, development, and coaching.
- Drive Continuous Improvement through focused maintenance programs to reduce downtime and ensure Machine reliability.
- Responsible for all departmental purchases of spare parts, supplies, and materials required to operate the facility, as well as creation and maintenance of vendor relationships.
- Keep Management fully apprised of significant occurrences and trends that impact the effective operation of the facility.
- Manage and maintain plant support systems for air compressors, central vacuum system, cooling system, water treatment, and HVAC.
- Supervise and direct outside contractors for maintenance/repairs, equipment installations, facilities improvements/expansions, etc.
- Ownership of the EBM training program, as well as train and cross-train reports, to achieve maximum flexibility during peak and off-peak periods.
- Maintain daily attendance records to support proper payroll administration.
- Enforces disciplinary action when required and participates in decisions to discharge and/or hire employees as required.
- Review predictive maintenance activities and implement changes to the type of monitoring, routes, frequency, and equipment monitored.
- Provide leadership to create an environment that will maximize individual performance, productivity, and self-development. Promotes a spirit of cooperation and dedication to superior quality workmanship among all employees.
- Must be on call twenty-four hours a day 7 days per week.
- Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and OEM standards.
- Plans, estimates, and schedules for effective utilization of workforce, materials & machinery in the execution of plant maintenance work to increase uptime and minimize unscheduled downtime.
- Maintain a clean shop and work areas. Provide an injury-free work environment for maintenance staff and contractors, visitors through engagement, hazard analysis, training programs, and good work practices.
- Collaborate and contribute to capital investment and equipment purchase decisions.
- Perform other responsibilities as directed by management to meet or exceed project objectives. Required to provide technical support through hands-on interaction with equipment, molding machines, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in a high-volume operation with exposure to various manufacturing products and processes.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in project management is REQUIRED.
