Summary
The Processing Room Manager will be responsible for effectively operating and cleaning all equipment used to process and store finished fluid, cultured dairy products, juices, and drinks.
Key Activities
- Operate HTST pasteurization unit, and separator within specified requirements, processes, and standards.
- Operate CIP systems to clean the entire HTST system, separator, storage tanks, lines, filling equipment, and tankers. This includes the manual sanitation of all removable parts and preparation for CIP.
- Operate Laboratory testing equipment to ensure all standards are in compliance and adjustments made to be within operating guidelines.
- Unload and load raw and pasteurized milk into tankers.
- Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance policies and practices.
- Sanitary maintenance of valves, pumps, seals, and gaskets as part of the HTST, separator, Homogenizer, Blending, Storage Vessels, and Transfer lines.
- Assist with State Time & Seals as well as separator and press teardown.
- Fill out and file bills of lading and certificates of analysis.
- Maintain records of plant fluid inventory.
- Maintain proper raw milk silo rotation and production planning to ensure the product is available for packaging when needed Accurately record information and maintain all documentation pertaining to FSMA, FDA, HACCP, SQF, USDA,
Preferred Skills
- Ability to direct, coach, and train others.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and can multi-task.
Educations & Experience
- Food processing: dairy preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the processing industry preferably the food and beverages sector.
