Summary
The Sales and Marketing Representative is responsible for oversee an assigned customer base, including annual sales volume and gross profit targets, as well as customer and market development objectives. Occasional travel (5%-10%) will be required to effectively manage customer and supplier relationships.
Key Activities
- Provide exceptional service to customers purchasing various protein commodities, food service, and retail products.
- Negotiate pricing to achieve a balance between customer satisfaction and generating appropriate profit margins.
- Assess supplier offers, in coordination with company buyers(s), to identify and target the right opportunities.
- Promptly communicate customer bids to company for processing.
- Collaborate with buyers and operations staff to ensure all sales and delivery details are communicated effectively.
- Enter all orders into the company system for processing.
- Ensure timely collection of customer invoices.
- Maximize profit potential within the assigned customer base, utilizing analytical tools to make data-driven sales decisions.
- Develop new business opportunities and expand the customer base in both existing and emerging markets.
Preferred Skills
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is a plus
- Good PC skills are preferred.
Educations & Experience
- A minimum of a college degree (or equivalent).
- Strong negotiation skills at all levels of sales transactions.
- Goal-oriented, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
