Freight Forwarder providing transportation and logistics services throughout the US is seeking a full-time Air Export Coordinator. This position is responsible for preparing all necessary export documentation required by the customs and airline companies as well as coordinating shipments.
Location: Atlanta, GA
Job Type: Full TimePay Range: $24-25hr
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds to customer questions, including regulations, required information, invoices, quotas, etc.
Contacts the trucking companies to arrange pick-up cargos from customer's warehouse or other locations to the company warehouse
Negotiates with shipping lines and truckers to get a better rate
Responsible for coordinating trucking schedule and making any adjustment as needed
Contacts airline companies to make booking for the cargo space
Prepares necessary export documentation such as bill of landing, packaging list, invoice and other required documents by the Customs, Airline companies and TSA
Makes sure that all paperwork is completed in compliance with customs regulations
Track and Trace shipments
E-mails necessary shipping information to the customers, Japan and other parties after completing export documentation
Keeps the customers/ overseas office informed with the status of their shipments
Maintains and manages customer's information in accordance to TSA regulation
Issues invoices and sends to the customers and overseas agents
Communicates with department manager and other staff to maintain effective work-flow
Communicates with sales department and customer service department staff to answer customer's requests and inquiries
EXPERIENCE:2-3 Years of Air Export experience; and Ocean experience preferredMust know how to use CargowiseAccuracy with attention to detailSpeak, read and write English at a college levelFlexible and adaptableGood at multitasking Excellent attitude and customer serviceMust know how to use MS Office SuiteCertificate of IAC Security Training (IACSSP) and STA (Security Threat Assessment) ID required by DHS-TSA. HAZMAT Certification (IATA or IMDG) preferred
