Position Summary:
The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all activities within the distribution center.

Essential Functions:
- Lead and manage all aspects and activities of a multi shift distribution center operation. This includes:
- Ability to strategically think about total operation and drive change as our business needs change
- Adept at change management with history of implementing change
- Train and develop different levels of staff
- Review and modify SOPs with some frequency to ensure both compliance and efficiency
- Experience in a facility using multiple methods of picking and packing
- Self-motivated to improve the operation
- Ability to manage a 3PL client operations and a general understanding of GDP requirements.
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget and maintain good cost control on operating expenses. Perform cost negotiations with vendors and provide appropriate solutions for bulk distribution.
- Develop cost reduction initiatives while maintain productivity and quality.
- Monitor staff performance to ensure daily focus and that goals are met. Provide ongoing coaching to improve the overall methods and success of the distribution center.
- Establish correct staffing levels and supplementing with temporary labor when necessary.
- Meet productivity targets: assess their growth potential and to set quotas.
- Ensure security arrangements are in place.
- Plan and prepare work schedules and assign employees to specific duties.
- Schedule equipment maintenance and replace when required.
- Ensure products are stocked correctly and safely.
- Conduct weekly meetings with the DC team members.
- Oversee the attendance of the employees including the daily review of their time clock punches, coordination of all requested time off (PTO, EIB, FMLA), and monitor overtime.
- Monitor performance, write and conduct the performance evaluations of team members.
- Listen to and resolve customer complaints regarding service, products, or personnel.
- Assist in inventory management activities including receiving, storing, rotating and handling supplies in the distribution center.
- Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Function as liaison between DC teams' questions and other departments (i.e. purchasing, compliance, finance)
- Serve as Designated Representative to various regulatory bodies including Boards of Pharmacy.
- Function as organizational liaison with regulatory agencies, vendor, and customer visits.
- Drive continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence Projects.

Skills & Abilities
Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-college or technical school); or Work Equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of previous experience in distribution, production, logistics, operations planning and/or facility supervision and management in a regulated environment. Must possess solid judgment and strong decision-making skills to independently manage this fast-paced customer service driven operation. Previous experience in a pick/pack/ship environment, 3 PL knowledge with strong WMS skills is preferred. Florida Designated Representative certification strongly desired.
Computer Skills: Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Suite of products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
