The Position
We are seeking a part-time, 1-1, in-home high school economics tutor in Northern Virginia, DC, or Maryland. To be competitive, it would be ideal if you have experience teaching/tutoring AP Micro and/or Macro.

Ideal Candidate
- Experience tutoring or teaching AP Micro/Macro and other high school or college economics courses.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Current or former AP Micro/Macro classroom teachers are highly encouraged to apply!

Duties
- Academic planning and instruction
- Conduct 60-120 minute private individual lessons in student homes weekdays 4-10 pm and/or weekends
- Develop and maintain genuine, positive, and consistent communication with parents and students
Compensation
Top Score Education offers highly competitive compensation. The starting pay range for this role is $45-$65 per hour. As they grow and develop with our company, Top Score Tutors can earn up to $80 per hour.
Logistical Requirements
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- A weekly commitment of a minimum of 8 teaching hours (for example, 1-2 weekday evenings and one weekend day)
- Consistent access to a car (work is primarily in students’ homes 1:1) and willingness to drive up to 30 minutes to a lesson (travel bonus for longer travel).
