RMC is hiring for a Linux System Administrator who will provide Linux based workstation and server support to an RDT&E environment at Patuxent River, MD.

The selected applicant will perform a variety of information technology/infrastructure activities, as well as IT inventory management.

The selected candidate will need the following skillsets{{:}}

• Strong understanding of virtual and physical networking configuration
• Strong hardware, software, and network troubleshooting skill sets
• RedHat 7, or higher, Enterprise administration, including workstation and server
• ACAS/Nessus experience or similar vulnerability scanner familiarity
• Experience using distributed file systems
• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in providing tier 1 - tier 3 support to niche SME end users.
• Applicant must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Occasional travel is required
  
  
  

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED and five (5) years of relevant experience in system administration of LAN/WAN systems, systems maintenance, and systems monitoring/reporting are required
• A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field is highly desired
• An active Top Secret security clearance is required to start
• Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
• Must have DoD 8570/DoN 5239 IAT Level II certification (Security CE)

Salary Range for this position is{{:}} $90,000 to $140,000 annually

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements.
