Sigma Defense is seeking a contract Program Manager to manage the resources available, establish priorities and schedules based on PWS requirements for our customer in Norfolk, VA.
The PMs will provide the interface with the Government COR, Contracting Officer, senior government managers, senior military officers and provide briefs on project progress. They are responsible for the hiring, capability development, discipline, and dismissal of contract personnel. They will provide the expertise necessary to support the role of FDTPS tasks in the various task areas contained within the contract and prepare the workforce to support emerging requirements that will evolve during the contract period of performance. The PMs are responsible for all aspects of contract support to ensure a balance of efficient and effective operations
This is a contingent position that is pending award of contract. This means that the position is subject to the successful awarding of a contract and will be confirmed once the contract is finalized. The candidate selected for this role will be offered the position on the condition that the contract is awarded to our organization.

- 8 years of experience in the following :
- Corporate program manager on a defense contract of similar magnitude and complexity of this requirement.
- Determining program objectives, organizing requirements, scheduling projects and developing standards and guidelines
- Managing multiple projects / tasks simultaneously.
- Managing large complex projects / deliverables with numerous stakeholders.
- Managing relationships across business and customer organizations, and other stakeholders throughout the project cycle.
- Managing multiple priorities and interruptions with minimal impact on productivity / deliverables.
- Planning and managing the work of training efforts conducted by multiple functional area teams / commands.
- Developing exercise / event timelines with required deliverables.
- Designing and implementing new staffing solutions and organizational structures to meet training needs.
- Ensuring consistency of quality in services across multiple functional areas / commands.
- Employing independent judgment and initiative to manage personnel and resources.
- Leveraging best practices and problem solving.
