Job Summary:
A top secret clearance job is available for a skilled systems administrator who can work with classified networks. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration, as well as knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
The successful applicant will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining systems, including software installation, updates, patches, and core services related to Windows desktop OS, Windows server OS, Linux OS, and various third-party applications.
This position requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a team environment, and excellent communication skills. The selected candidate must be proficient in operating personal computers, computer software, and standard office equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain systems, including software installation, update, patching, and core services
- Implement DISA STIG requirements and system hardening
- Provide technical expertise at supervisor and management meetings
- Determine when desktop, server, software, and OS upgrades are required
- Prioritize work center organization, equipment, and processes based on performance requirements and mission needs
- Maintain up-to-date configuration control and adhere to all configuration management requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or relevant field and at least 3 years of system administration/IT experience
- Or high school diploma/GED and at least 5 years of system administration/IT experience
- Knowledge of IT systems and advance IT infrastructure concepts
- Proficient in operating personal computers, computer software, and standard office equipment
- Required training, licenses, and certifications: one of the following OS certifications (Linux or Red Hat Certified System Administrator)
