Job Title : Facilities Mechanical Engineer Job Code : 16640 Job Location : Vandenberg, CA - Space Force Base Job Schedule : 9 / 80 (Every other Friday off) Relocation : Relocation assistance can be considered for qualified candidates Job Description : This position is responsible for the maintenance and improvements of facility systems including large HVACs, overhead cranes, elevators, pneumatic systems, boiler, sewage, water and other facility infrastructure. Responsibilities include the design, fabrication, installation, testing and documentation of modifications for mechanical facility systems incorporating detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to assist technicians with how equipment or systems are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
The mechanical engineer would be responsible for the following facility systems :
- Large HVACs and supporting infrastructure required to operate a 100,000 sq ft, ISO 7 spacecraft-processing cleanroom
- Seven overhead cranes ranging in size from 5-Tons to 75-Tons
- Two elevators
- Pneumatic / Compressed Clean-Dry-Air System
- Sewage and water systems
- Boilers
- Particle Counters & other sensors required for maintaining / operating a cleanroom to support spacecraft processing
- Facility infrastructure including roofs and large doors (internal and external)

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $73,500.00 - $136,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
