Description Enhanced Veterans Solutions, Inc. (EVS) is seeking a BigFix System Administrator for onsite work in Laurel, Maryland.
Position Overview The Systems Administrator will play a key role in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the integrity and performance of our operating systems and IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for system maintenance tasks such as backups, recovery, and file management, ensuring uptime and efficient performance across the organization's systems. The role also involves acquiring, installing, and testing software upgrades, configuring applications, and troubleshooting technical issues. This role requires an individual who can maintain thorough documentation of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures and who is committed to supporting our high-security environment.
The Ideal Candidate : The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in Windows administration, AWS cloud environments, and a solid grasp of network security, PKI, and technical implementation standards. They will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working within a high-security environment, with excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to document and streamline IT processes. This role requires a commitment to high standards in system integrity, security, and performance.
Requirements
- Familiarity with HCL BigFix Enterprise suite and BigFix Relevance Programming Language.
- Cloud Platforms : Amazon AWS - managing and modifying AWS Instances via AWS Tool Set.
- System Administration : Proficiency in Windows and Linux administration (Windows being primary).
- Networking & Security : Windows Networking and Firewall configuration, Windows Group Policy, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for key management and troubleshooting.
- Technical Guides : Experience with DISA Software Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Registry Knowledge : Advanced understanding of Windows Registry.
- Security Products : Familiarity with Trellix (formerly McAfee) security suite, Tenable Nessus.
- Patching : Expertise in Windows patching policies and configuration.
- Education : Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Security Clearance : Active TS / SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph.
