Position Summary LinQuest is seeking a Systems Safety Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this role.
Responsibilities
- Support the System Safety Government Team by evaluating ESOH risks identified by the government, contractors, or other stakeholders, preparing ESOH documents and providing system safety support for Space Flight Worthiness certification
- Document, perform, and execute changes to Government System Safety documents
- Review and participate in government evaluations of contractor documentation to hazard analyses, mitigation strategies, and safety assessments, as well as advise the government team
- Perform safety risk assessments in accordance with Program and Space Force guidance documents and prepare safety risk assessments for acceptance or for further mitigation.
- Prepare documents including but not limited to : Programmatic Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Evaluation (PESHE) and Space Debris Assessment Report / End of Life Plan for space vehicles
- Prepare and support the System Safety elements of the space vehicle Space Flight Worthiness certification
- Collaborating with prime contractors, other support contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Space Force

Compensation for California : Starting salary ranges from $120,000 to $160,000, depending on relevant experience and qualifications
