About the Role:
We are looking for a Controller who is ready to take on the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams, a strong background in AP, Payroll, and General Ledger (GL), and a proven track record of driving automation, improving processes, and creating structure in a growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including AP, Payroll, and GL.
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with financial regulations.
- Support acquisition-related accounting activities, a major plus.
- Leverage advanced Excel skills (Pivots, Lookups, Power Pivot) to streamline financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the CAO and leadership team to support the company’s financial strategy.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Healthcare industry experience highly preferred (hospitals are a great fit, but open to exceptional candidates from other industries).
- Experience as an Assistant Controller looking for the next step or a current Controller with high energy and adaptability.
- Proven ability to automate processes and implement financial efficiencies.
- Strong leadership experience managing accounting teams.
- Expert-level Excel skills (beyond Pivots & Lookups; experience with automation in Excel).
- Acquisition accounting experience is a big plus.
- CPA & public accounting experience not required.
