We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Senior Leader of Software Engineering to play a pivotal role in enhancing end-to-end life insurance processing. This 100% remote position focuses on incremental software changes, particularly in COBOL application development and mainframe modernization, to support life insurance policy administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES / COMPANY HIGHLIGHTS :
- Own and manage the mainframe-based application architecture for life insurance policy administration, ensuring its continuous evolution across the organization.
- Provide technical oversight for a team of 15-20 software engineers, ensuring compliance with design patterns and software standards.
- Lead custom COBOL application development for policy administration applications, including product configuration, billing, collections, and claims processing.
- Drive a modernization roadmap for mainframe applications, transitioning from batch-centric to real-time processing to meet consumer demands.
