This candidate will be a subject matter expert in cyber range validation and control for JCTE. The role includes addressing technical requirements, prioritizing platform functions, and collaborating in high-pressure situations to enable decisive actions.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as a principal advisor for cyber range operations supporting Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) and Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO) for the ADF.
Translate training goals into actionable cyber range environments.
Design and execute cyber range events.
Provide expertise in architecture, authentication, and system security.
Lead continuous process improvements and provide expert IT, network, and virtual environment support.
Collaborate effectively within a diverse team and address customer needs flexibly.
Required Qualifications
Technical Knowledge
Intermediate proficiency in defensive / offensive cyber tools and networking (DNS, routing, TCP / IP).
Background in Microsoft technologies, Active Directory, Security Onion, and VMWare.
Expertise in RHEL Identity Management (IdM) and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
Experience
4 years with Cyber Network Operations (CNO), Cyber Network Exploitation (CNE), or Cyber Network Defense (CND) platforms.
5 years in cyber training, validation exercises, and collaboration with Cyber Protection Teams (CPTs).
Certifications
Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security , CCNA, CISSP).
Education
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Systems, or Software Engineering.
Preferred Skills
Advanced knowledge of DNS, routing, and Exchange configurations.
Expertise in Security Onion, Splunk, and VMWare configurations.
Effective communication skills for engaging with leadership and stakeholders.
Problem-solving for integrated software / hardware platforms.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to operational requirements.
