Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations within this construction related company. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the construction industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of financial management in a dynamic and complex environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and profitability.
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Analyze financial data and market trends to provide strategic recommendations to the executive team.
Manage banking relationships, financing strategies, and capital investments.
Lead risk management efforts, including insurance, bonding, and compliance with industry regulations.
Oversee job costing, project accounting, and ensure financial efficiency in construction projects.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
Provide leadership to the finance and accounting teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
Collaborate with operational leaders to drive cost efficiencies and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and financial reporting standards.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
10 years of progressive financial leadership experience as a CFO or senior financial role in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, job costing, and financial management.
Experience with financial software, ERP systems, and accounting platforms used in construction.
Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
Proven ability to manage financial risks and implement effective controls.
Strong negotiation skills and experience managing banking and investor relationships.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
