STAFF ACCOUNTANT / TAX PREPARER
BIRMINGHAM, AL
Our client is looking for a goal-driven Staff Accountant / Tax Preparer to be responsible for analyzing tax data submitted by clients and filing and submitting tax returns. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA certified and three or more years of public accounting experience.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Preparation and research for individual and business tax returns (1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990).
- Preparation of financial statements (GAAP experience).
- Analyze financial information and make recommendations for year-end adjustments to business clients.
- Assist with audits as deemed necessary.
- Communicate with clients and other interested parties.
- Stay up-to-date on current tax laws and relevant changes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
