My client is looking for an experienced Billing Specialist to manage invoicing, payments, and financial transactions within their transportation operations. The ideal candidate will have experience handling billing for both trucking and brokerage services, ensuring accuracy in invoicing, timely collections, and seamless communication between internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process accurate and timely invoices for both the asset-based trucking and brokerage divisions
- Verify loads, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure all supporting documentation is complete
- Work closely with the accounting and operations teams to resolve billing issues
- Monitor outstanding payments, follow up on collections, and address disputes with clients and carriers
- Maintain financial records and reports related to invoicing and receivables
- Utilize TMS (Transportation Management System) and accounting software to track and process invoices
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
- Experience in transportation billing (trucking and brokerage experience preferred but not required)
- Strong knowledge of invoicing, collections, and financial reconciliation
- Familiarity with TMS systems and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, McLeod, Aljex, etc.)
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills for internal collaboration and external follow-ups
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Florence, NJ
Salary : $45,000 - $65,000
