Job description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Carrier Sales Representative to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, vetting, and booking freight on the spot market. You will work closely with our logistics coordinators and account managers to ensure seamless transportation of goods for our diverse client base.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers
- Negotiate rates and secure capacity to move freight
- Utilize load boards and other digital tools to find and book loads
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize lane utilization and efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service to both clients and carriers
- Meet or exceed monthly booking targets of 20-30 loads per day
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in a carrier sales or logistics specialist role
- Proven track record of building and maintaining carrier relationships
- Proficient in using load boards and transportation management systems
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
