This strategic position, based in McLean, VA, is integral to supporting enterprise risk programs with a focus on Model Data and AI. As the Data and AI Risk Governance Senior, you will play a critical role in shaping data governance and compliance initiatives while ensuring the safe and effective use of AI technologies across the firm.
Position Overview:
The Data and AI Risk Governance Senior will lead efforts in driving data governance, compliance, and operational risk management strategies related to Model Data and AI. This role requires collaboration across teams to implement risk management frameworks that promote the responsible and efficient use of data and AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Information and Technology Risk Management: Develop and execute information risk management strategies for the division, focusing on data integrity and security.
Data Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce data governance standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and enterprise policies.
Data Quality Management: Lead initiatives to enhance data quality, ensure proper data controls, and protect sensitive information across divisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams to refine data management practices, ensuring comprehensive understanding of data lineage and dependencies across business units.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in data governance, standardizing data storage, and documentation practices.
Critical Data Management: Manage workflows for critical model data within the I&CM division, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
Reporting and Metrics: Generate reports that detail information risk, data governance performance, and key risk indicators (KRIs).
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in data governance within the financial services sector.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education in a relevant field.
Risk Management Experience: At least 3 years in operational risk management with a focus on technology, information, or model risk.
Technical Expertise: Proficient in business process mapping, metadata management, and data lineage.
Tools: Experience with Collibra or similar data governance platforms.
Industry Standards: Extensive knowledge of information risk management standards and frameworks.
