Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 plus bonus

Our client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking an experienced Trademark Paralegal to support their local IP&T practitioners and national Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group. This role reports directly to the Practice Group Leader and involves handling trademark prosecution, enforcement, and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, office action responses, and maintenance filings with the USPTO.
• Conduct trademark screening searches on third-party platforms and perform common law searches.
• Assist with TTAB filings and prepare WIPO trademark documents.
• Collaborate with foreign counsel on international trademark applications and maintenance.
• Communicate with clients regarding trademark prosecution, maintenance, and portfolio updates.
• File customs registrations with U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
• Support trademark enforcement efforts, including coordinating with foreign counsel on oppositions and disputes.
• Monitor attorney dockets and ensure timely filing of deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4 to 10 years of experience in a trademark department with a strong focus on trademark prosecution.
• Experience with copyright registration is a plus.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, document management software, and timekeeping systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines under pressure, and work overtime or weekends as needed.
• Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to mentor and train junior team members.
• Excellent client service skills.

This position requires a proactive professional with a strong background in trademark law and the ability to handle complex trademark portfolios.
