Homeschool Tutor for Rising 7th Grader (Starting August – Scottsdale, AZ)

Top Tier Tutoring is seeking a compassionate and creative instructor to work 1:1 with a student entering 7th grade this fall. The student has ADHD and dyslexia and benefits from a highly visual, structured, and encouraging learning environment. This role is ideal for someone experienced in supporting executive functioning and making academic content engaging and accessible.

The focus will be on building foundational skills in reading and math, with support across English, Social Studies, History, and Science. The student is currently performing at a mid-5th grade level and needs patient guidance to build confidence and independence in her work.

The ideal instructor is warm, calm, and energetic—able to support a student who is bright and active but becomes timid in the face of strong or authoritative tones. The student is very competitive in sports and responds well to positive reinforcement.

SCHEDULE

• Start Date: First week of August
• Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Location: In-person at the family's home in Scottsdale, AZ

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience supporting students with ADHD and/or dyslexia
• Strong knowledge of core middle school subjects
• Skilled in executive functioning support and visual learning strategies
• Able to create engaging, structured, and supportive lessons
• Comfortable working in-person in a home setting

PAY
$25–$30 per hour (based on experience)
