Title: VP of Sales- Food Industry
Location: Bronx, NY
Salary: $230,000-$250,000, plus Bonuses and Incentives
The VP of Sales oversees all sales and business development activities to meet annual revenue and profit targets. This role requires executing managerial responsibilities in line with company policies, including recruiting and training managers and sales representatives, conducting performance reviews, and collaborating with HR, Finance, Procurement, and Operations to enhance customer relations and service.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement annual strategic sales plans to meet financial goals.
· Foster a performance-driven culture through coaching and ethical leadership.
· Direct recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to build a successful sales organization.
· Set high standards for customer service and monitor sales performance metrics.
· Guide the sales team in interpreting data for effective business management and client reviews.
· Manage sales forecasting and performance goals.
· Review sales metrics for profitability and adjust strategies as needed.
· Maintain relationships with key clients and assist sales managers in maximizing business opportunities.
· Oversee customer retention initiatives and ensure operational consistency.
Experience:
· Strong ability to lead by example, uphold ethical values, and demonstrate integrity.
· Experience in training, guiding, and evaluating subordinate performance. Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
· Bachelor’s Degree required.
· 10 years in food, FMCG, and/or distribution sales.
· At least 5 years of sales supervisory experience.
· Preferred experience in perishables and various distribution channels.
· Proven track record in developing high-performing teams.
· Ability to read, write, and present information effectively, with bilingual skills a plus.
· Proficiency in statistical analysis, forecasting, and practical problem-solving.
