About the Opportunity:
We're looking for a Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead projects across the Chicagoland area.
Position Overview:
As a Heavy Civil Project Manager, you will oversee all phases of infrastructure construction projects, ensuring successful execution from planning to completion. You will play a pivotal role in managing project teams, client relationships, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full project lifecycle of heavy civil construction projects, including highways, bridges, and utility infrastructure.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to align on project objectives and timelines.
- Supervise field operations to maintain safety, quality, and productivity.
- Oversee documentation such as contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
- Lead progress meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Proactively address and resolve challenges to prevent delays or cost overruns.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing heavy civil construction projects.
- Expertise in DOT projects, public works, and municipal infrastructure.
- Proficiency in construction management tools such as Primavera P6, Procore, and HCSS.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- PMP certification or similar credentials are a plus.
