Overview:
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Pharmacy Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the pharmacy is kept clean, organized, and efficient. The Maintenance Technician will assist in other functions within the pharmacy as time allows.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Predictable, reliable, and punctual attendance is an essential function of the job role.
- Maintain organized workstations and restock supplies for the upcoming shifts.
- Perform daily including trash removal and breaking down cardboard; monthly cleaning using appropriate disinfectants and procedures
- Troubleshoot minor issues with the equipment and escalate problems as necessary.
- Skills in using measurement devices.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and buffs floors, as well as vacuums, shampoos and steam cleans carpets.
- Maintains restrooms in a sanitary condition and replenishes supplies.
- Repairs, assembles or adjusts furniture and shelving. May be involved with disassembly, loading on moving trucks, reassembly and setting up MedWiz furniture in new locations.
- Responsible for maintaining med carts including cleaning and repairs as needed.
- Hangs bulletin boards, clocks, and lightweight pictures and fixtures.
- Assist pharmacy staff with ancillary tasks (IV Pump cleaning, shipping, etc)
- All other duties as assigned.

The regular work schedule for this position is approximately 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday) and may require additional hours/overtime/weekends as necessary. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, Ability to adjust focus and Ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, bend, and walk.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED
Computer Skills: Ability to use excel and word.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as medication documentation, business correspondence and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and business correspondence; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
