Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation of machinery and equipment on construction sites, particularly in horizontal drilling and pipeline projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and adherence to safety standards, including OSHA regulations. The Line Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of operations on oil rigs and construction sites.
Duties
- Operate and monitor machinery used in horizontal drilling and pipeline construction.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including OSHA regulations, to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to build and rig pipelines effectively.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize cranes and other heavy machinery as needed for lifting and moving materials.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, including equipment usage and safety checks.
- Assist in training new operators on equipment handling and safety procedures.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment and operations.
- Experience with crane operation is preferred.
- Familiarity with oil rig operations is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
- Commercial driving experience is a plus, particularly for transporting materials to job sites.
- Understanding of pipeline construction techniques and best practices.
- Knowledge of horizontal drilling processes is beneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
