Infrastructure Systems Administrator
Tope is seeking an Infrastructure System Administrator to support the AF Strategic Program Information Services team in support of the Sentinel Information Services (IS) team. The selected applicant will join am interdisciplinary team providing OS level help desk support. This position will include the following duties and responsibilities:
· Deploy and configure Linux applications and services
· Installation of various COTS and GOTS software applications
· Software licensing and server certification
· Testing application functionality and ensuring proper security configurations
· Software removal from networks
· Train team members on practices and document of Standard Operating Procedures
· Perform software version upgrades
· Provide Systems Administration for Linux/RHEL operating systems
· Implement and test software patches and security fixes
· Install, configure, harden, and test for new/updated system changes
· Ensure adherence to IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures
· Assist in performing root cause analysis and resolving faults and errors.
Position requires US Citizenship, a current Security Certification, fully adjudicated DoD Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance and at least 5 years’ experience (with a BS degree) or 11 years’ experience (with a HS diploma) with:
· Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
· IT principles, including operating systems, networking, and database management
· Troubleshoot and resolve daily support tickets including end-user support
· Utilize DISA STIG checklists to assess and document compliance
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical issues
· Proactively managing and prioritizing multiple related projects, assignments, timelines, milestones, and follow-up communications
Other skills desired are:
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
· Standards compliance and information assurance, including ITAR, CCA, FedRAMP, DIACAP, RMF, ITIL, CMMI
· Ability to work in a team environment and follow established procedures and protocols
· Experience supporting a DoD customer.
