Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various scientific disciplines and experience working with students in a high school setting. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curriculum while fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student growth and academic excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Teach subjects including but not limited to molecular biology, microbiology, discrete math, and differential equations.
  • Conduct research laboratory sessions, guiding students through practical experiments and scientific research projects.
  • Provide individualized support to students with special education needs, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assess student performance through various methods including tests, assignments, and projects; provide constructive feedback to enhance learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development to enhance educational offerings and improve teaching strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance, communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and challenges.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of scientific subjects including molecular biology, microbiology, discrete math, and differential equations.
  • Experience in conducting scientific research and laboratory work is essential.
  • Proficiency in proofreading educational materials to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  • Ability to develop engaging curriculum tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Experience working with students in a high school setting, demonstrating effective classroom management skills.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students, parents, and colleagues.
