Job Overview
Topel Forman is seeking an Accounting & HR Specialist to join our Operations team in our Chicago office. As the Accounting & Human Resources (HR) Specialist, you will be reporting to the Director of Human Resources. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Human Resources and Operations / Finance team. You will manage our internal transactions, assist with various payroll and accounting processes, and support the HR and finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for weekly processing of company bills / expenses through third-party payment system
- Maintains accounts payable and receivable process
- Assists in processing semi-monthly payroll including data input into the payroll system and payroll spreadsheets for reconciliation purposes
- Assists in processing payroll changes such as earnings and deductions, direct deposits, and other employee requests
- Reviews monthly benefit invoices and audits for accuracy
- Provides support with year-end procedures
- Prepares requested documents and files for external audits
- Prepares reports for HR, Accounting, leadership team, and other various teams as needed
