Role Description
This part-time role as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor at Topfield Center in Cold Spring, NY involves guiding participants through individualized equine-assisted programs and lessons. As an on-site role, you will contribute to fostering the special relationship between humans and horses both from the saddle and the ground, at a top-of-the-line facility with the backdrop of the stunning Hudson Valley.
Qualifications
- Certification with PATH Intl. as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor
- Experience in equine-assisted activities or therapeutic horseback riding
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy, patience, and compassion working with a range of individuals facing multiple types of challenges
- Dedication to promoting the well-being and development of participants
- Knowledge of horse behavior, care, and safety
Notes
This position will begin as part-time with lessons on both Fridays and Saturdays, with potential to quickly expand with our growing client body (afternoon and evening hours will be necessary). Moving up to full-time instruction (with benefits) is a strong possibility with proven reliability and success.
Salary : $20 - $30
