What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installation Specialist position at Topgolf?
The Installation Specialist will be responsible for completing large low voltage installations within specified timeframe, scope and costs. This role involves establishing cable pathway systems, terminating and certification of network/fiber cables. Responsible for MDF/IDF rack build out and installation of various network and AV equipment.
Responsibilities
- Venue A/V and Infrastructure Audit -This is execution of a detailed, multi-day physical and software-based check of configuration of systems in the venue inclusive of (Audio/Visual. Game. Point of Sale, Lobby Management, Control Systems, Computer Room, Network, etc.).
- Game Experience Audit - This activity involves data gathering from our ops control system prior to venue visit, and then targeted in-bay game play experience for bays identified as potentially sub-standard for performance. This will not only involve needing to understand the mechanics of how the game system functions at a technical level, but also how to use tools to tweak configurations and do onsite metric measurement.
- Physical Installation - Pulling cable, installating displays/PCs, etc.
- Technical assessment, troubleshooting and configuration - Troubleshooting/Resolving issues with installed software and hardware required to run a venue operations at install
- Venue Systems Quality Assurance measurement - Checking software, hardware, operating systems, network performance against defined standards
- 3rd Party Technician Oversight - Task and quality management of any 3rd party resources
Qualifications
- Associates Degree or Equivalent work experience preferred
- 1 year large scale low voltage project installation
- 1 year cross-functional teams experience
- 1 year knowledge of basic construction and low voltage material
- Hand tool experience
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more and operate heavy machinery
- Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making with a positive can do attitude
- Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
- Analytical thinking, and Time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Technical troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret CAD drawings/basic understanding of construction building codes
- Follow and promote a safe work environment
Travel 75% - This is a heavy travel job to support new venue construction and existing venue audits.
