The Role:
The Production Supervisor is a full time, seasonal role and the go-to person for ensuring quality, keeping our operations team prepared, and the main point of contact for shipments in and out of the Topiarius materials yard. You'll oversee plant care, deliveries, inventory, and organization, playing a vital role in our success.
Reporting Relationship:
The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Production Manager who provides guidance, sets performance expectations, and conducts regular performance reviews. The Production Manager also serves as the primary point of contact for escalated issues or concerns related to production operations.
This position’s success is measured by:
● Completion of regular inventories.
● Minimization of all materials loss numbers.
● Organization and cleanliness.
● Accurate and timely preparation of materials for the in-field operations team.
What You Will Do:
● Identify a variety of plant material, hardscaping materials, and other materials used for constructing outdoor living spaces.
● Coordinate plant care, including watering, pruning, and fertilization.
● Ensure quality and accuracy of deliveries by recording and reporting any issues.
● Organize and maintain inventory by using best practices for labeling and storing materials for projects.
● Communicate about materials quality and availability issues or concerns with the Production Manager to avoid project delays.
● Coordinate deliveries in and out of the materials yard by controlling materials yard access and communicating with our vendors.
● Safely operate small equipment and coordinate equipment maintenance programs for mini skid steer, snow blower, leaf blower, compaction tamper, and other small engine machinery.
● Coordinate materials preparation for in-field operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.
● Facilitate weekend watering coverage.
● Maintain top-notch organization in our production areas.
● Ensure the ongoing functionality of outdoor spaces by routinely monitoring lighting and electrical, water lines and irrigation timers, refuse collection and other facility maintenance.
● Collaborate with supervisors and foremen to maintain tool storage areas.
● Occasionally drive a company vehicle to pick up or deliver equipment or materials.
● Participate in, and occasionally lead, training sessions regarding safety, plant care, project management, human resources, professional development, or other topics.
● Use inventory management software and web-based tools to receive and track inventory.
● Assist with facilities management in collaboration with other team members.
● Maintain hours flexibility through peak production periods, which may include a changing schedule or unplanned overtime as directed by the Production Manager.

Required Background
● You have 1-3 years of experience in the landscaping or horticulture industry.
● You're a high school graduate with a passion for creating beautiful landscapes.
● You're a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
● You're a problem-solver with a curious mind and a willingness to learn.
● You take pride in your work and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
● You possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
● You're proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace.
● You have a strong work ethic, arrive on time, and are eager to contribute.
● You're physically able to regularly lift items weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
● You're a valid driver's license holder with a safe driving record.
● You have basic Spanish proficiency.
Other Desired Qualifications
● Inventory management or materials yard experience.
● A bachelor's or associate's degree in a horticulture related field.
● Fully fluent in English and Spanish.
● Experience with Aspire or similar contractor software program.
● Forklift certification.
Expected Activity and Movement:
● Frequently lift, carry, or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to several hundred pounds using appropriate machinery and tools.
● Constantly move about to work.
● Regularly bend, stoop, and crouch on a regular basis.
● Regularly climb stairs, ladders, or elevated work platforms such as scaffolding or motorized lifts.
● Work in seasonal weather, such as cold, hot, wind and rain.
What We Offer:
Hours and Compensation:
6:00AM to 2:00PM Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as directed by the Production Manager.
Hourly Pay $23- $26, commensurate with experience.
