We are seeking a personable, highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail to assist our Accounting team. This individual will assist with accounts payable and receivable functions and report directly to the Controller.

Accounting Clerk Job Duties

• Process payments and documents such as invoices, journal vouchers, employee reimbursements, and statements
• Prepare and process check runs and ACH transactions
• Calculates rates paid for purchases and all price extensions
• Verifies items billed against items ordered and received and reconciles differences through follow-up with vendors or team members
• Enter, update and retrieve accounting data from automated systems
• Post financial data to appropriate accounts in an automated accounting system
• Assist with month-end closing responsibilities
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Investigate and provide solutions for accounting irregularities
• Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
• Other relevant duties, as assigned
  
  

Accounting Clerk Qualifications

• 3 years of data entry experience
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Positive attitude, excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment as well as independently
• AS400, SQ 9 and QuickBooks experience (preferred)
