Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasonographer to join our medical team. The Ultrasonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations for patients under the supervision of a Radiologist.
Duties
Patient Population: Neonates to Geriatrics (M/T/W shift)
Certifications Required: BLS
General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: We are a mid-size general department with 24/7 coverage. Our caseload mainly consists of general abdominal, small parts, and ob/gyn (mostly 1st trimester and 3rd trimester for biophysical and growth scans), with many procedures during the day. We also see many pediatric and neonate patients for exams like the appendix, intussusception, spines and cranials. Our overnight shift caseload widely varies from 4-12, majority of those being ER exams. PACS and Portables required.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Sonography techniques
- Strong knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology
- Familiarity with medical terminology and diagnostic radiology procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff
- Experience in utilizing aseptic technique in a medical setting
- Prior experience in an Emergency Room (ER) setting is desirable
- Capability to perform diagnostic evaluations accurately and efficiently
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Pay: $48.30 - $51.23 per hour
