Job Title: Assembly Assistant Manager

Summary:

We’re looking for a strong leader to oversee our Assembly Supervisors and Team Leads on the production floor. This role focuses on ensuring team safety, productivity, quality, and continuous improvement while supporting company policies and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coach Supervisors and Team Leads, including performance reviews and training.
• Report daily shift performance to upper management.
• Drive safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
• Monitor workflow, address process issues, and reduce downtime.
• Coordinate with other departments on scheduling, new model launches, and process improvements.
• Maintain 5S standards and enforce company policies.
• Investigate and resolve quality and safety issues.
• Track attendance and issue corrective actions as needed.
• Step in for Supervisors when coverage is needed.

Qualifications:

• Manufacturing experience preferred (especially in Resistance Welding or Automotive Tier 1).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Lean principles, OSHA standards, and safety regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs. and work in a physically active environment.

Preferred:

• Forklift certification
• Experience with data analysis, document control, and technical training

Work Environment:

This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing setting. Expect exposure to noise, temperature changes, and machinery. Safety and teamwork are top priorities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
