Catering Assistant

Tops Bar-B-Q is looking for a dependable, outgoing Catering Associate to join our team in Corinth! This is a dynamic part-time position (20–30 hours per week) with the potential for full-time hours for those who are interested. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, is detail-oriented, and isn’t afraid to hustle when things get busy.

This position includes both hands-on catering work and proactive marketing—visiting local businesses to promote our catering services, deliver samples, and build relationships in the community. It’s perfect for someone who likes a mix of structured tasks and independent outreach.

What You'll Do:

• Assist with preparation, packing, and serving of food and beverages for catering orders and events
• Set up and break down event spaces (tables, buffet stations, etc.)
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times
• Deliver excellent, friendly customer service on every catering job
• Handle deliveries using your own clean, reliable SUV or hatchback-style vehicle (must have valid license, insurance, and current tags)
• Visit local businesses to distribute samples, share catering menus, and collect contact information
• Optional: Pick up additional hours by working as a cashier in the restaurant—training provided

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and dependable vehicle in clean condition (required)
• Availability for early mornings, occasional evenings, and weekends
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
• Experience in catering, hospitality, or food service is a plus—but not required
• Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of urgency
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
