Electro-mechanical Repair Technician

TOPS Staffing is searching for an Electronics Technician for a client who performs service and repair work to devices used primarily in the medical field.

The ideal candidate will have either 3 years of experience doing electro-mechanical assembly/ disassembly and board level electronics trouble shooting and repair/ replacement work in a similar environment OR an associate's degree in related field (electronics or mechatronics are preferred) or formal electronics training from the military or a prior employer.

Contract to Hire
Location: Imperial, PA
Hours: Daylight shift – 7:30am to 3:30pm – Monday to Friday schedule; some overtime may be required on an as needed basis.
Once fully trained, will have the option of working 4-day work week/10-hour shift schedule

Pay: $23 to $25/hr. - based on experience

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform component level troubleshooting, repair and replacement work.
• Solder electronic components
• Soldering of wires
• Use of electronic testing equipment – Test fixtures
• Assembly or disassembly of mid to large scale medical equipment.
• Reassembly of units
• Functional testing of repaired or serviced units to ensure they are in proper working order.
• Use of various hand and power tools
• Ability to work from blueprints or schematics
• Bench work type of environment, can perform a lot of this work either seated or standing

Education and Experience:

• Associates degree in electronics or related field or formal training from military or other programs is preferred or equivalent related work experience (3 years)
• Experience working in production environment as an electronics technician
• Must be able to read and interpret schematics.

Physical requirements:

• Frequently sit, stand, and walk in this position.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs on occasion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
