What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Truck Driver - CDL Any Class position at TOPS Staffing?
TOPS Staffing has a great direct hire opportunity for an experienced Delivery Truck Driver, you can qualify for this role with either a standard class C license and a clean driving record or any class CDL. Our client is located in the Butler area and the needs to hire an additional driver to handle the customer demand for their product.
This position will involve using a box truck or flat bed truck to make deliveries of our product to customers. Majority of the time delivery routes are day trips, from time to time the need to stay 1 night out of town may come up but its not a regular requirement. If and when you do have to stay overnight the company covers expenses and offers a $75 bonus pay for doing so.

Direct Hire - Our client will hire you on directly from your first day.
Located in Butler PA
Hours: Some flex on this depending on deliveries for that day stat time could vary from 5am to 8am.
Pay rate: Depends on the license you have and the load you are hauling, starting rates based on experience but typically in the below range.
$20 to $21 for normal license
$22 to $24 for a class B license
$25 to $26 for a class A license

Hold a valid Medical DOT Card – Company will pay for this if you don’t currently have it, but obtaining it would be required prior to your start.
Must Pass a Motor Vehicle check – (MVR)
Must Pass company background check
Must Pass company required drug screening

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Unload truck at customer facility. Usually the customer has a team that will help with this (9 out of 10 deliveries)
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins
- Utilize a forklift to safely store and move product around the warehouse
- Transport products safely to and from destinations
- Arrive at destinations on schedule
- Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
- Fulfill administrative requirements – some computer work involved
- Sign in and update Logbook each time you drive
- Write in mileage, fuel usage, any expenses incurred in daily activities
- Alert your supervisor immediately of any warning lights or signals identifying an issue with the vehicle.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a GED or Highschool diploma education
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience
- customer service is preferred but not required
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus
- Forklift experience is required
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to lift to a maximum of 45 lbs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule start and finish times vary base don delivery schedule
- Prior experience driving Box Truck preferred
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment
