TOPS Staffing is currently looking to hire several experienced Electrical Maintenance Technicians for a growing client in Eminence Kentucky area.
These opportunities will be a direct hire situation, our client will hire you on directly from your first day (no contract period with TOPS)
In this position you will perform electrical maintenance work in mill or production plant type environment. We are ideally seeking candidates with strong industrial electrical and PLC knowledge and experience.
Job Details:
Direct hire position
Must be open to working a 12hr - 2-2-3 schedule!
Hours: Daylight - 5am to 5pm or Night - 5pm to 5am
Schedule: 2-2-3 schedule
Pay Rate: Starting of $35.50 - $37.00 shift differentials
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies equipment or finished product electronic components, parts, switch panels, electronic equipment and systems.
- May test new equipment, troubleshoot operation, and make minor adjustments to equipment.
- Performs high voltage electrical repairs (e.g., controls, relays). Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
- Troubleshoots and repairs electronic, mechanical, or electrical computer-controlled equipment.
- May input or perform PLC programming.
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
- Performs advanced repairs, troubleshoots electrical problems, performs preventative maintenance and testing on electrical wiring and components of production equipment and facilities infrastructure
- Installs electrical panels, relays and switches
- Reads and troubleshoots basic PLC programming
Education and Experience:
- 3 years of experience performing electrical maintenance work in a production environment – Steel mill or foundry environment would be preferred.
- Technical schooling degree in electrical maintenance or related field.
- Capable of testing and trouble shooting Electrical applications
