Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) training support operations at Naval Base Point Loma, San Diego . The ideal candidate will be a former EOD Technician with program management experience in DoD training contracts . This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex training programs that support mission readiness.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage all contract operations and personnel related to EOD training.
- Ensure compliance with OPNAVINST 1500.75(Series), OPNAVINST 8023.24(Series) , and other applicable DoD regulations.
- Oversee and execute training programs , ensuring alignment with mission objectives and safety standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the contractor, COMEODGRU ONE , and government stakeholders.
- Develop and manage training schedules, resources, and reporting requirements .
- Ensure instructors and support personnel are fully qualified and meet physical, psychological, and certification requirements .
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols , including explosives handling procedures .
- Conduct After-Action Reviews (AARs) and implement process improvements for training effectiveness.
- Maintain security clearance requirements and ensure personnel compliance with classified information handling .
Minimum Qualifications :
10 years' experience as an EOD Technician (U.S. Military).
Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification .
2 years' experience managing DoD training contracts of similar scope.
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance .
Meet all physical and psychological requirements per OPNAVINST 1500.75(Series).
